The US Martial Arts Team is the official national team for the World Martial Arts Games, a bi-annual world championships held under the patronage of TAFISA – the Sport For All branch of the International Olympic Committee. This all-style team includes elite athletes in all disciplines of the martial arts including Karate, Taekwondo, Wushu, Jujitsu, Judo, Breaking, and more. The World Martial Arts Games include divisions for youth and adult, under belts and Black Belts.

Members of the USMAT proudly represent our country and have been the team to beat at international events since the 2000 games in Sydney, Australia.

Grand Master Friedmann is recognized internationally as one of thetop martial arts instructors alive today. He has won numerous gold medals at international events and a bronze medal at the Maccabiah Games (an IOC event). He has coached more than 700 US athletes since 2000. Of those athletes, 698 have won gold medals at the World Martial Arts Games.

GM Friedmann also holds a Ph.D. in kinesiology (the science of movement) from the University of Missouri,St. Louis an is a published medical researcher. His primary focus is on the connection between the brain and body and how to improve performance by utilizing these neurological pathways.
